None of our classes require partners (we rotate partners in class). What should I wear? Wear comfortable shoes, preferably ones that are slick enough to spin. Clothes should also be comfortable and casual (no shorts please). What are the class pre-requisites? Some classes require that you have taken another class first. Classes that require a pre-req are identified in the Classes page, along with the name of the required class. What class discounts do you offer? We offer two discounts: 1. We offer a 25% online payment discount. To receive this discount, you must pay online by midnight the night before the class begins. 2. We also offer a 50% student discount. To receive this discount, you must pay at the door and have a current student ID. The student discount price cannot be purchased online. Are you available for private events, group, or private lessons? We offer a variety of special services including the following: Private Events    Focus on the Lindy instructors are available for a variety of private events such as parties (wedding and birthday) and corporate events - Individual or group lessons, DJ services, ?ambience? (dancers available to dress in vintage clothing for background texture). Rates vary depending on the nature of the event and on services desired. Group Lessons    In addition to our normal monthly group lessons we are available to teach lessons to groups of individuals on either a one-time or a continuing basis. Standard rates are listed below. Private Lessons    The best way to improve your dancing is through individual attention. We are available as individuals or as teaching pairs for private lessons. This is another good option for people wanting to learn to swing dance for a special occasion. Individual rates will be listed on the table below as they become available, or ask us about non-listed instructors or pairs. What are your prices for private events and group/private lessons? Private events prices vary according to the event. Email us details about your specific event for a quote. Group lessons (teaching pair) are $100 per hour. Chris offers private lessons at $35 per hour. Chris and Laura offer private lessons together for $50 per hour. Other instructions offer private lessons for various prices. Send us email for requesting specific instructors. Note that the above rates do not include location/space rental, fees, etc. Can I purchase a gift certificate for someone or myself? At this time we do not have a registration system that can process gift certificates. You can, however, purchase specific classes for another person in advance.
