Mike Dancel started dancing in August of 1998 in Colorado Springs. He immediately became addicted. In order to keep swing dancing alive in Colorado Springs, Mike started Swing in the Springs in 1999. Mike has played a vital role as an instructor, DJ and event organizer. In order to improve the quality of instruction in Colorado Springs he co-founded Focus on the Lindy in January 2003.

When Mike’s not swing dancing he is busy learning to be a husband, bombing downhill at Keystone on his mountain bike, climbing his road bike, lifting weights, or playing on his snowboard.
