John has been dancing since the fall of 2000. His addiction to Lindy Hop
started after visiting the Mercury Café, in Denver, one random Tuesday
evening. Ever since then, he has taken as many classes from
local
instructors and national instructors (Ryan and Jennie, Paul and Sharon,
Eric and Sylvia) as he could find time for. John moved to Colorado Springs
in the summer of 2003 and joined Focus on the Lindy in 2004.
John discovered that he likes the smooth, groovy lindy style of dancing more
than the big move, big band style. He has taken a strong interest in learning
and teaching blues after going to a
Dallas based
blues workshop. John has also traveled to several exchanges including
Denver,
New Orleans, Utah, and Austin and is planning to see them all…..eventually.
