Jamie's dance career began at age three when she donned a white tutu and performed a tap routine to Puttin' on the Ritz at her first dance recital. She soon traded her tap shoes in for toe shoes and trained in ballet and modern dance up through college. She began Lindy Hop when she moved to Colorado Springs in 2002. She's won or placed in several in-state lindy competitions. She placed fifth at Camp Hollywood 2005. She also placed in two different events in her one and only West Coast Swing competition. Jamie also enjoys Argentine Tango.

When she's not dancing, she's most likely working, rock climbing, sweating at the yoga studio, drinking a good glass of wine, or planning a wedding with her fiancée, Tyler, whom she met on the dance floor. They are getting married on May 27, 2007.
