Beaux's dancing career began in 1998 after signing up for an East Coast Swing class offered by his coworker Mike Dancel. Since then, Beaux became roommates with the infamous Dancel and began doing swing outs on a regular basis from his kitchen. Over the past 7 years, Beaux continues to take a number of locally offered workshops and an occasional out-of-state dance camp.

Beaux joined Focus on the Lindy late in 2002 and since has taught a number of the Lindy and Charleston classes. After getting married in October 2004, Beaux went on sabbatical from teaching. However, he and his wife Sarah are now teaching again. When Beaux is not busy working on his master's degree, he can be found swingin’ out at Swing in the Springs.
